🔗 Share this article Hulu is Developing a Popular Game TV Show from the Producers of Alien: Earth and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The latest action-packed game that gamers dived into was Far Cry 6, that showcased Giancarlo Esposito as the villain, Antón, and came out back in October 6, 2021. As a series, it has a reputation for delighting in chaos and insanity with similar excitement, all while weaving gripping, ideologically themed tales. Little surprise that the network’s recent announcement for a Far Cry seasonal program attracted two creators whose creations have exemplified all of those things. About the Series Inspired by Ubisoft's hit video game series, the short-run anthology series will be available on Hulu and will be created by FX Productions. The series will also mirror the video games' format by having a new backdrop and cast of characters in every instalment. Creative Minds Rob Mac, producer of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, the talent behind FX's Alien: Earth and Fargo, will act as showrunners on the series via their companies, More Better Productions for Mac, and 26 Keys for Hawley. They will be joined by Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn for More Better Productions, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television. “FX has had outstanding partnerships with Rob Mac and Noah Hawley for a total six series and 32 seasons of television, and we are overjoyed that they are teaming up for Far Cry,” said Nick Grad, President, FX Entertainment, in a statement. “I have no doubt that they will tell this story in a way that is original, engrossing, and incredibly entertaining. We also want to appreciate our associates at Ubisoft for placing confidence in us with this cherished property.” What’s Next Mac will also star in the show, but at the time of writing, we have no details on what part that may be. Hawley's Alien: Earth was recently renewed for a second instalment, with FX and Disney finalizing a new long-term contract with the producer. “Getting to work alongside Noah Hawley is a goal achieved,” said Rob Mac. “Ubisoft has been exceptionally supportive, trusting us with one of the most renowned video-game realms ever created. And throughout this process, my FX team continues to lift me up with their ongoing belief and backing.” “The aspect I admire about the Far Cry game collection is that it’s an anthology program. Every title is a variation of a concept, the same way every series of Fargo is a adaptation on a story,” said Hawley. “To create a large-scale action show that can shift from year to year, while always exploring the nature of people through this intricate and turbulent viewpoint, is a dream come true. I’m thrilled to partner with Rob and introduce our mutual irreverent, visionary sensibility to the television.” A schedule for when we can expect the new Far Cry show has not been announced. The series will be available on Hulu in the United States and on Disney Plus internationally.
